Albert Alsina has more than 20 years of international experience in multi-national settings, with more than 10 years of experience in General Manager on a global and European level. In the same fashion, he has several years of experience in Private Equity with Permira and Catalana d’Iniciatives. He has performed the role of Vice President and General Manager in a capital risk MBO project with the company PE CD&R in the United Kingdom.
He has worked 9 years at General Cable (industrial markets, electrical energy and telecommunications), where he reached the position of Vice President in the Telecommunications division in the USA; 3 years at Textron as General Manager and Vice President of Textron Power Transmission (industrial engineering) and 2 1/2 years at VWR (pharmaceutical industry) as VP and General Manager in the UK. In the same way, he has held several executive positions in the United States, England, Brazil, Germany, Zimbabwe and Spain.
Albert Alsina is the founder of the Mediterrania Capital Team and he was in the Venture Capital/Private Equity department at Riva y García, performing the role of Managing Partner of Fons Mediterrania Capital F.C.R. Additionally he is a member of the Investment Committee of Fons Mediterrania Capital (MC I) and Mediterrania Capital II plc (MC II) and board member of several portfolio companies of both funds.
Albert is also an associate professor at EADA Business School in Barcelona, and sits on the board of Anne Fundació, a centre dedicated to medical and psychological attention to children.
Albert is an AMP graduate from Harvard Business School (USA). He completed the Global Leadership Program from Wharton (USA), and PADE from IESE (Spain); he also holds Master’s degrees from Fulda Fachoschule (Germany) and Université de Poitiers (France); and a Bachelor degree in Business from the University of Barcelona (Spain).
